A great way to see the Venice of America as FortLauderdale is known due to it's many canals is a three-deck paddle steamer with stern drive wheel.
500 acres of a safari park where you stay in the car and the animals roam around you. Not recommend blowing your horn at the rhinos. They have the right of way.
Day cruises on an ocean liner from Fort Lauderdale harbor. Great way to have the feeling of a sea cruise on an ocean liner, but only for the day.

DOWNTOWN FORT LAUDERDALE
Students may take the bus directly in front of the school and explore unique boutiques, walkways and canals around the most famous street in Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas Boulevard. This street offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops and a state-of-the-art 23-screen IMAX movie theater.

RIVERWALK
Lush tropical landscape and winding walkways link downtown‘s attractions and shops with Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Visit the Old Fort Lauderdale Museum of History and discover local history from the Native Indians to early settlers to the present day.
There is a Hard Rock Hotel and Casino operated and located on a city property belonging to the Seminole Nation. Great location to gamble, shop, and nightlife.
Listing of all attractions on the Seminole Indian Reservation (a separate nation with its own laws, except for Federal jurisdiction such as foreign policy). The reservation id a good place to see alligators, Florida panthers with other wildlife and a different way of life. Airboat and Swamp Buggy rides available with overnight Chickee Hut accommodations.

MUSEUM OF DISCOVERY AND SCIENCE AND BLOCKBUSTER IMAX THEATRE
This museum features hands-on exhibits and the 5-storey IMAX 3D theater puts you in the center of the action. Both the museum and the IMAX often contain themes including Dinosaurs and the environment.

HUGH TAYLOR BIRCH STATE PARK
This famous park is only a 10 minute bus ride to East Sunrise Boulevard, offering nature trails, picnic and barbecue areas, in-line skating, volleyball, canoeing and kayaking, and fishing. Its ideal location is in front of famous Fort Lauderdale Beach on one side and the Intracoastal waterway on the other.

SWAP SHOP
This is the largest indoor/outdoor flea market in the US. It is a great place for students to practice their English while bargaining for some goods. It offers live entertainment and food halls and only 20 minutes by bus from school. |

INTERNATIONAL HALL OF FAME
Situated at the ocean end of Las Olas Boulevard, these two Olympic-size pools play host to international and university/college swimming and diving competitions. It also houses a museum of Olympic swimming history. |

GALLERIA SHOPPING MALL (SAWGRASS MILLS)
Situated on East Sunrise Boulevard and 20 minutes by bus from the school, this large, elegant indoor shopping mall houses some of America‘s most famous stores as well as some specialist shops, food court, elegant dining and cafes. |
