St Mary’s College is a modern University campus and was founded in 1850. Attached to the campus is Walpole House, a neo-Gothic House which was the venue for Mick Jagger’s 50th birthday party.
There are over 15 classrooms accommodating the students’ academic needs, with a maximum of 15 students per class, though we aim for 13. Many of the classrooms have audio-visual equipment (TV, Video, DVD, OHP). The classrooms are located in the various parts of the campus.
There is a fully equipped refectory on site with a large, light, airy dining hall. Freshly cooked meals, with a vegetarian option are cooked on site, offering at least 2 choices of main course.
Special diets can also be catered for with advance notice.
Meals are on a rota system with two sittings for each meal. Each student will be assigned a colour and they must arrive at the dining hall at the designated time. This is to make sure that everyone can sit down when they eat and to prevent extended queuing time.
Packed meals will be provided for excursions and there is also a barbecue once a week.
