| Ms Mako Umezu, Japan Course: General English “I’m sure I’ll never forget my staying! In Malta everything is completely different from Japan, so I got a culture-shock so many times. I stayed for quite a long time and so I had to say good bye to many friends many times. It was really hard for me and I couldn’t hold back my tears. But I will keep in touch with them forever. I enjoyed lessons, so I am satisfied with my teachers. They often listen to me and give me some advices. (How kind they are!) I really appreciated it! Fortunately there were many students from different countries in my class, so I had chance to talk to them. I liked that people were asking me questions about Japan. Through the lessons, I found that different ways of thinking. It was very hard to understand sometimes, but it was still very interesting. I was too shy to speak first in my class, but I became accustomed to it, I found that the most important thing is to not be afraid of making mistakes. I learned a lot from friends and lessons. The thing I liked best in Malta is the weather. During the stay, I visited many beautiful places and beaches, I also went to see some other countries and my Japanese friends came to see me. I had a wonderful time here! It is my precious time!” |

Ms Alessia Testa, Italy Course: Intensive English If I have to summarise in two words how has my maltese experience has been …. Let me see… absolutely great! First of all the school: modern, multi-cultural, energentic and exciting. A school that has satisfied my needs what I wanted before coming here. My teacher, Lyndsey was great! Brilliant! I haven’t never known anyone like her. All my classmates are very good. With most of all I have found a special feeling and I hope that this lasts for a long time. Not less important the ‘leisure-section’. Every night there was something different to do. I think for everyone won’t be possible to forget Paceville and the school’s boat party – amazing! In this beautiful scenery of Malta full of natural beauties, history and traditions I have had the possibility to dream with new friends. Something that I will always keep in my heart”. |

Ms Inga Mikhaltchouk, Sweden Course: Minigroup I was a student at LAL Malta twice. I came here for the second time because this school offered me a high quality of education and service. All my teachers were not only highly competent and experienced professionals but very kind and interesting people too. Their patience and tact helped me manage many difficulties in English, enriched my vocabulary and made my English more fluent and correct. The school administration was very helpful and polite and always tried to make my time as a student comfortable and pleasant. They helped me solve many of my everyday problems. |

The right choice! Just when I was arriving at Mgarr Harbour I started to have a good impression of the environment. Now three weeks after, with a light knowledge of the whole island, with such a nice experience meeting these kind people, from teachers and colleagues to local people, and with so many delightning things to remember, I can suggest to have an English course here. Something betweeen holidays and learning which allows everyone to take full advantage of the lessons, and relaxing and going to fantastic bays, trekking, riding bike at the same time. |

I came to LAL Gozo because after two years of university my written and spoken English weren’t as good as they used to be. That is why I chose to come to Gozo. To me, it was the perfect way to improve my English and as well to spend some nice holidays on a wonderful, peaceful island. I haven’t been dissapointed. |

I needed to improve my English for my job and for my life. I thought that Gozo was a good compromise between school and holidays. And it happened that it was indeed a very good idea!!!! The quality of the school is very good, teachers are professionals and friendly. The little island is very beautiful, his beaches and his landscape are unforgettable. People who live in Gozo are very polite and it’s easy to make friends and there are also a lot of opportunities to have conversations in English. |

Ilka Seifert, Germany I decided to go to Gozo on the recommendation of a friend. I have been looking for an English course especially for adults as I had already participated in other courses in other countries and languages before where most of the students had been so much younger than me. |

| Ms. Galina Vasilieva, Russia Course: Business English I started with intermediate course when I arrived. Now I am studying upper intermediate and Business English. The teachers don’t use just one book for learning, they use a lot of interesting additional materials. I am satisfied because I’ve met intelligent, professional and artistic people. |

| Ms Ju Hong Kang, South Korea Course: Academic SEmester I’ve been staying here almost 5 months, which is quite long time compare with other European friends. As the time is long, I have had a lot of memories. I’ve met many friends in here and I’ve learned different cultures and real friendship. During having meals together, I could try cosmopolitan food, taking part in school programmes such as welcome party and excursion. I’ve got enough opportunity to meet friends naturally. Especially I like excursions, because, there is a lot of beautiful place in Devon, when I take part in excursion I can enjoy great landscapes with friends. It’s really cool. I’m studying English now, but I often feel like that I’m on my holidays. After studying I can walk near the beautiful beach with friends and enjoy English culture. There environment is tremendous for studying!!! As I’ve had nice memories, I’ll make more interesting time during remain period. back to top |

Ms. Maria Conchita de la Torre, Peru Course: Business Minigroup Hola, my name is Maria and I come from Peru. I come for English lessons, as I need it for my work, as a marketing manager for a big hotel chain. I am taking Business Minigroup class, so that I can learn specific vocabulary I can use at work. I like that we are only 4 in the class, so we can share ideas and strategies and practice our English with each other and our teacher. It was easy to make the reservation to come. I was met at the airport by a very friendly lady who took me to the transfer bus and told me all about the school while we were waiting. |
