| Durban School Residence now open! The newly opened LAL school in Durban has received positive response and has just said goodbye to its first Argentinian Teenage Group.  New School Building Situated in the trendy Musgrave area, the school has now officially established its first residence, which is only a two minute walk from the school. The residence has just opened its doors to its first new students and consists of a communal lounge and kitchen. Students can enjoy their breakfast on the patio, which overlooks the swimming pool and take advantage of Durban’s all year round Mediterranean climate. As our current Korean student, Sang Won Lee, 25yrs says, “...it’s just perfect, I have everything on my doorstep. This weekend I just completed my surfing course, however I am still trying to stand more than two seconds on the board, but I WILL get there!” Lee has just completed four months of his Academic Year Programme at the LAL Cape Town and is currently completing the rest of his course at LAL Durban.  Student Residence  Student Lounge at Residence Together with Cape Town, Durban is the perfect combination for a successful language stay. Students can experience two totally different cities, “two worlds in one country”, says Wilfrid Duval, 24yrs from Paris, France. | Teenagers in Malta - an even wider choice of hotels! In order to meet the increasing demand for our long established teenager programme the selection of hotels available has been widened for 2006. The hotels are all experienced in meeting the needs of not only language students but also the younger learners attending this programme where care and supervision is of the upmost importance. Students have the option to share accommodation in twin, triple or quad rooms with speakers of other languages in order that the the practice of English is maximised. Further to the already published start dates of January 9, April 17 and September 25, 2006 students may also start the programmes on August 14 or November 27, 2006. | English [Out There!] for teenagers at LAL Malta and LAL Torbay [Out There!] is now available at LAL Malta and LAL Torbay for young students. Each day begins in the classroom when the teacher introduces the students to the language needed for a new topic every day. Once they are comfortable with the new language they go out and try it out for themselves in the real world outside the classroom. Taking a walk along the promenade by the harbour or along the busy shopping streets, they will meet people and speak to them and find out what to do and where to go in Malta or Torbay.
