This course is designed to promote confidence among the students when in a business situation, or when needing to use English for professional, business purposes. The smaller class size is designed to allow the teacher to provide a degree of individual help to the students.

This course is for students who are seeking to communicate effectively in everyday business situations and gain a sound understanding of the principles of the English language. The lessons are designed around a business course book and provides the opportunity for students to improve the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as enhancing and increasing their active / working vocabulary and grammar knowledge related to various aspects of business.

By the end of their stay the students can expect to have improved not only their communicative competence, through their study of ‘survival’ English and ‘everyday’ English but will have also achieved a new level of learner autonomy and confidence.

Course books may be bought for £ 20 (approximately) or hired from LAL Torbay by paying £10 refundable deposit.
