LAL Torbay was founded in 1984. Our purpose-built school provides an ideal language learning environment. The school has more than thirty classrooms, a dedicated internet study, wireless internet access, a listening centre, bookshop, student lounge and student café. Renovations have also provided an executive lounge, an attractive garden and patio, a large reception and student service areas. The school and its programmes have been specifically designed so that adults and young learners are able to study and socialise separately.

Within walking distance of the school are our two popular student residences, Hunters Lodge and Matilda House, both recently renovated. Students may book excursions and activities as part of their package (Young Learners only), or on-site at our Leisure and Activity Reception.
