
The bus service, run by the Passenger Transport Association (ATP), is the cheapest and safest way to travel around Malta. Buses run every day of the year except for 3 hours on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day between 12.00 hrs and 15.00 hrs.
Bus prices are very low and fares range between €0.47 and €1.16 depending on your journey. Direct routes from Sliema to Valletta: 62, 64, 66, 67 & 68 (€0.47).

We also recommend that you first ask for the price before using a taxi, in order to avoid being overcharged.
If you enjoy cycling, it is possible to rent a bicycle with free delivery to a destination of your choice. Prices vary from €6.99 to €12.81 depending on how long you need the bicycle. The price also includes a lock, pump and a repair kit.
