The Cambridge Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) is the most widely accepted qualification recognised by most reputable employers abroad.
To join this teacher training course you must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of 2 years continuous teaching in EFL, ideally a degree and an initial teaching qualification.
This course deals with modules 1, 2 and 3 of the DELTA and integrates classroom practice with understanding of language systems and learning theories, and combines classroom training with study of theory. Assessment is through Assignments and a final exam.
When we receive your application, we will invite you for an interview. This will give you an opportunity to meet us and to see the school. It also gives us a good idea whether the fairly rigorous and demanding course is for you! To help us in assessing your skills we will ask you to do a pre-interview task before you arrive.
The course is split into two teaching blocks of four and two weeks respectively. Assignment work will be carried out during the interim period, but course participants will be able to return to employment during this time. The course will be held at our English school in Malta as IELS Malta is a DELTA centre.
