

We offer a wide range of activities and excursions for our students. You can book activities directly at the school with our leisure team during their break times and in the afternoon. On the first day, every student is invited to an Information meeting and an Evening Welcome Party.

There is no better way to enjoy a day at sea than joining the crew on board the ‘Spirit of Malta’. Jump aboard, relax and take in the most picturesque bays as the ‘Spirit of Malta’ sails around the blue waters of Malta, Gozo and Comino. Forget everything but your swimming costume as you’ll enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the Mediterranean’s clearest of waters at breath taking bays and the highly acclaimed Blue Lagoon in Comino. Fancy a nibble? A delicious buffet lunch will be served during one of your swimming stops and a variety of cool drinks are available from the well stocked ‘Free Bar’. Did you know that the Grand Harbour in Valletta is the world’s third largest natural harbour? Experience this and more as you cruise around Malta’s many harbours aboard the Harbour Cruise. Learn about the fascinating history of
Valletta, the Three Cities and how Malta dealt with the Great Siege of 1565 and The Second World War in 1942. On board the Harbour Cruise you’ll sail around the two natural harbours on either side of Valletta – Marsamxett Harbour and the Grand Harbour, whilst stopping at other places of interest along the way including the historical forts, battlements and creeks which can only be admired from the sea.
Our famous IELS Boat Party is by far the most ‘in demand’ party in Malta during the summer months. Come and join your Leisure Team and enjoy an unforgettable evening. Free drinks and sandwiches to keep the hunger away are included! Discover the underwater world and get your first taste of the wonders of scuba diving. Included is a lesson in the basics of scuba diving and equipment, followed by a confined water ses-sion. You will then head off on an open water diving adventure at an inviting shallow reef. Experience the feeling of weightless-ness in a new environment and enjoy the vibrant colours and amazing variety of Malta’s marine life. A really nice and gentle way to introduce yourself into the world of diving.
Thinking of getting certified for an upcoming holiday, but don’t have the time to invest in a regular diver course? Now there’s a quick and easy programme designed especially for you! The PADI Scuba Diver programme is a pre-entry level certification that is perfect for holiday makers or people who only plan to dive a couple of times a year. Credit earned in this programme can be used as part of the Open Water Diver certification. The Open Water Diver course uses the same materials as the Scuba Diver course, so you are already on your way to further dive adventures.

Scream if you want to go faster on the Power Boat to Comino. Hop across the waves to the stunning island of Comino which sits comfortably between Malta and
Gozo. Start the day by visiting the beautiful sandy beach of Hondoq ir-Rummien in Gozo, where you’ll get to spend some time before speeding off to Comino via the stunning Comino Caves. Comino is home to the famous Blue Lagoon where the water is so clear that the boats there appear to be floating in mid-air! This picturesque bay with sparkling crystal clear water and a sandy white bottom, enriched with marine life, is a perfect location for relaxing, swimming, diving, wind surfing and other water sports.
Leap aboard one of Malta’s colourful ‘Luzzu’ boats and delve into the clear bright waters of the Blue Grotto at Wied iz-Zurrieq in the South of Malta. At the Blue Grotto you’ll discover numerous caves through which you’ll sail and experience the most amazing turquoise, emerald and blue waters, complemented by the beautiful colours of the rock formations surrounding the caves.

Get off the beaten track and visit some of Malta and Gozo’s hidden gems rarely visited by tourists. Accompanied by a professional Jeep Safari leader, you’ll be guided through an action packed day full of the island’s most beautiful scenery with swim stops along the way to keep the heat at bay! Opt for the full day Gozo Jeep Safari and a lunch including a large selection of local specialities will be served as you explore areas of Gozo that even most local people don’t know exist. If you prefer a half day tour, the Malta Jeep Safari is for you.
Splash and have fun at Malta’s fantastic Splash and Fun water park. Close your eyes and hold your breath as you zoom at top speeds down a variety of colourful and amazing water slides before plummeting into the cool blue water waiting for you at the bottom, or be a dare devil and test your nerves on the frightfully fun ‘Side Winder’. You don’t like closing your eyes? No problem, the ‘Black Hole’ is perfect for you as you slide to the bottom at top speeds in pitch darkness! Splash and Fun is not only about high speed slides as you can also relax next to the ‘High Tide Wave Pool’, join in the animations, or lay back and top up your tan as you float along the ‘Lazy River’. So whatever type of day you want, you can do it all at Splash and Fun!
Sicily is not only the largest island in the Mediterranean, but it is also home to the largest, most active volcano in Europe - Mount Etna. Just a 90 minute boat ride from Malta, you can enjoy a full day tour which includes a visit to the typical Sicilian fishing village of Pozzallo as well as crossing the second and third highest bridges in Europe which pass over the Baroque town of Modica. Then you’ll pass through the Iblei Mountain Range with views of quaint villages among the canyons. The highlight of this day trip is the drive up to the Sylvester Craters of Mount Etna before enjoying free time in the city centre of Modica/Taormina.
Take a walk through the Silent City of Mdina and you will experience an unusual mix of medieval and baroque architecture. Mdina, formerly Malta’s capital, stands on one of Malta’s highest points and at a maximum distance from the sea. It was built in this location as an overlooking fortification which protected the island from invaders. As you walk through the narrow, winding streets you will soon discover that even if an invader did manage to get past the defensive walls, they would soon find themselves lost! Mdina’s St Paul’s Cathedral is the architectural crown of the elegant walled city of Mdina and definitely worth feasting your eyes on. Visit The Mdina Experience where you can learn about the history of Mdina and even relax with a coffee and a slice of the delicious and well known selection of Fontanella cakes.
Valletta is Malta’s beautiful capital city. Take in the breathtaking panorama of the natural Grand Harbour from the famous Barakka Gardens. Take a walk through Valletta and you will soon discover its rich history and many attractions including St. John’s Co-Cathedral, the Grand Master’s Palace with its famous Armoury and Tapestries and the Casa Rocca Piccola which provides unique historical evidence of the customs and traditions of the Maltese nobility over the last 400 years.

The tranquil island of Gozo, Malta’s sister island, possesses everything from the world’s oldest temples to breathtaking scenery. In Gozo, you can step 7000 years back in time and remain firmly in the present! Take a trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Dwejra Bay and you’re in for a treat as here you will find many spectacles including the most spectacular natural landmark on any of the Maltese Islands - the Azure Window. Also here you’ll find the Fungus Rock, the Inland Sea and even a plant known as the ‘Maltese Everlasting’, which can only be found in Gozo - not even in Malta or the rest of the world! Dwejra Bay truly is a phenomenon to behold! The island of Gozo is a lot smaller than Malta, but the moment you step off the ferry you will immediately see that there is a lot to do and see. With Dwejra Bay, the Citadel in Victoria, Marsalforn and beaches galore, you will certainly not leave Gozo disappointed!
Enjoy a half day gentle hike through some of Malta’s prettiest countryside.
Start at Buskett Gardens, visit Ghar il – Kbir and finish by watching the sunset from Dingli Cliffs. Your licensed guide is also a conservation officer here in Malta and she will explain all about the environment, the plant life and all the points of interest along the way.
