LAL Malta offers a range of TEFL teacher training courses at our school in Sliema.

The CELTA course is an ideal first qualification if you want to start on a career teaching English as a second language.

If you already have TEFL qualifications and have a general education to a high standard, the DELTA course offers further development and proof of your skills and commitment.

We also offer International Teacher Training refresher courses for teachers from overseas who would like to improve their language skills.

CELTA: If you want to learn to teach English as a second language, the Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) is a widely accepted initial qualification recognised by most reputable employers abroad.
DELTA: The Cambridge Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults is the most widely accepted qualification recognised by most reputable employers abroad. This course deals with modules 1 & 2 of the DELTA and integrates classroom practice with understanding of language systems and learning theories, and combines classroom training with study of theory. Assessment is through Assignments and a final exam.
